Beyond the Blueprint: The Achilles Heel of Service Design

  • Designersblock, Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf Barge House Street London, England, SE1 9QS United Kingdom (map)

Workshop & Panel Discussion

With Daniel Letts, Sean Miller, Marta Ferreira da Sá and Benedict Singleton.

Daniel has a wealth of experience in Service Design, having been working with organisations from the private and public sector for the last 15 years. Originally trained as an architect, his background spans digital, branding and multiple design fields.

Sean is a former project engineer, management consultant and saved by service design, and has worked on oil platforms in the North Sea, pulp and paper factories in Norway and everything in-between. Sean helps organisations from pre-start-ups to corporates and charities to local authorities to create new services and improve existing ones, and can be found doing this anywhere from Bangkok to Barking.

Marta Ferreira de Sá and Benedict Singleton have a background working for some of the world’s leading service design organisations, and more recently have worked as strategists for a global clientele that runs from FTSE 100 firms to gov.uk to Guggenheim NY. They are also active in an academic context, and have held teaching and research roles at MIT Mobile Experience Lab and the architecture and service design departments of the Royal College of Art.

Join them for a short workshop and panel discussion on  the hardest but most important part of service design - working out how the service will actually be delivered.

This event would be best suited for those who have some previous knowledge of service design.
