About the session
One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The distress caused by cancer can stay with those diagnosed and their loved ones for life. Our role at Macmillan cancer Support is to work with people who have been diagnosed to find their best way through this experience.
Our Service Innovation Team have been tasked to design new emotional support services. We need these services to support people early, in a personalised way and to not stop after those diagnosed have been given the all-clear.
We’ve done the research, defined the insight, got strategic sign-off, and now we need to develop new innovative ideas. This workshop will round off a national co-ideation piece of work that aims to bring together the ideas of people living with cancer, their family and friends, health and social care professionals, and our national colleagues. We want you to bring your own ideas and innovative mindset to build on their work and take it into bigger and bolder directions.
This is no easy task as we need to think big if we’re going to support people living with cancer across the UK, and work within our complex health and social care ecosystem.
By taking part in this workshop you will be helping set a direction for what concepts we begin to prototype with people living with cancer and the people who support them.
