About the session
Artificial Intelligence has excellent potential to create customisable healthcare services.
As of now, the industry directs too much attention on creating the perfect algorithm without focusing on finding the right solution that’s in the humans’ best interest.
How can design change such a perspective?
How can it improve healthcare experience?
How can it avoid human and machine biases?
Our talk will discuss these questions through a case study. AIDA (Artificial Intelligence Design for Autism) is an Artificial Intelligence design research project that we currently design at Digital Entity (an NTTData Design Studio). Our project’s goal is to help autistic children communicate with those closest to them.
AIDA is an example of co-design with Artificial Intelligence experts to create a solution based on actual human needs.
Developing personalized design solution to support autism communication
Co-designing and co-discovery with multiple experts
Designing dataset for AI from user research to avoid biases
